Guideline Form 44A

Purpose of Form:

To record a document under the Registry Act based on a transitional exemption.

 

This form is used by a registered owner, an agent of the owner or other authorized individual to claim an exemption from mandatory conversion to the land registration system for a document which would otherwise constitute a trigger.

 

This exemption may be claimed for a non-family subdivision resulting in three or more parcels where the plan of subdivision was submitted to the municipality for final approval prior to the coming into force of the Act in the applicable registration district.

 

All other transitional exemptions granted under the Act expired 90 days after the coming into force of the Act in the applicable registration district.
