Guideline Form 20

Purpose of Form:

This form is used by a judgment creditor to update the name or address of a judgment debtor.

This form is used by a judgment creditor who holds a judgment that is recorded in the judgment roll and wishes to update the name and/or address of the judgment debtor. This may be as a result of the judgment creditor obtaining a correct address, change of address for the debtor or more complete or specific information relating to the name and/or address of the debtor.

This document is recorded in the judgment roll. The update to the name and/or address of the judgment debtor is effective from the date and time that the Form 20 was recorded.  An update to a name would be done if additional information about the person has been obtained.

Note:  This form will not be accepted to change the name of the judgment debtor if a judgment was issued in an incorrect name.

Refer to Form 22 for how a Judgment Creditor's address can be updated.

PIDs should only be present on the form for land titles parcels where the judgment currently appears in the parcel register(s).
